Hamel Builders, Inc. and Catholic Charities Center for Family Services are working together to build and strengthen families.

Rebuilding Together Howard County (RTHC) was formed in 1992 when a group of Howard County residents and businesses joined together to mobilize volunteers and provide free home repairs to low-income families in Howard County. The organization is committed to improving the lives of the elderly, individuals with disabilities, veterans and families with children – all homeowners in Howard County who have worked hard, but no longer can afford to keep up with repairs. In late May, 2013, Hamel volunteered once again to participate in the program. Hamel employees came together to make much needed repairs to a local residence. We managed to secure and preserve the entire rear of this house which was collapsing as the retaining wall failed. THANK all the employees who helped out: David Price, Eddy Way, George Jenison, Greg Carnell, Jeff DeBois, Kellye Beaman, Matt Gibson, Vince Harriman and Steve Thompson. Special thanks to Mr. Ed Hamel and the Hamel family for sponsoring the house. For more information, visit Rebuilding Together website at www.rebuildingtogetherhowardcounty.org
