Melissa celebrates her 20th anniversary with Hamel on August 16, 2019! Back in the summer of 1999 she heard about an opening for a Receptionist from her aunt, Sandy Wood-Black, who worked here then. Within a year there was an opening in Accounting. She worked as a Project Accountant for about a year when a Project Assistant position became available. Since then her title has changed to Sr. Project Assistant, to Project Administrator and now Project Administration and Compliance Manager.
About her years with Hamel Melissa says, “The last 20 years at Hamel have brought me many opportunities to expand my role and skills, as well as provided me exposure to many outlets assisting in my leadership within the company as well as outside the company. I love the benefit of working as a team here which provides support, respect, value and positive company culture. The day to day relationships formed is a huge factor in feeling comfortable and confident in what I’m able to do and provide for the company. Working at Hamel is much like working as family.”
